Ulriksdal Palace cafe is a few minutes’ walk from Ulriksdal Palace. It’s along the banks of scenic Edsviken in the Royal National City Park in Solna, North of Stockholm. With the spacious grounds and neatly lined trees, I could imagine lots of people coming here to picnic in summer. In winter though, it’s covered in snow and you can see people skiing, which is pretty too. But better to head inside the cafe to grab some food and keep warm. Brrr…
Ta-da: Here’s our lunch. Quiche sets for both of us.
Spotlight on my spinach and cheese quiche set served with rocket lettuce and salad with balsamic vanaigrette plus a slice of honeydew also known as honoungsmelon in Swedish. They had a wide selection of breads to choose from and I took the multigrain bread topped with a generous layer of butter. Quiche was delicious and satisfying as it’s baked to the right texture and salad was fresh.
The cafe has a great dessert selection – lots of local bakeries and cakes. I was delighted when Johnny ordered the lemon meringue pie. Yummy in our tummies! Mums-tastic….
Thanks for bringing me to Ulriksdals Slottscafe! Fantastic company – he had the salmon quiche. Love the coziness of this place, which is filled with lush cushions, funky arm chairs, and delicious food.
Close up of my honeydew – SWEET! Aside from quiche, the cafe also serves sandwiches and has a vegetarian lasagne. Veggie options for lunch is okay but you can always compensate by ordering more desserts.
Ulriksdals Slottscafe from the outside with Ulriksdals Palace in background on the right. In Summer, I can imagine people crowding outside to enjoy the splendid view. If you swing by Ulriksdal, make sure to check out this cool cafe!
Dogs are welcome too! Bonus for dog lovers.
