Toronto: Lunch at 360 The Restaurant, CN Tower

Dining at 360 The Restaurant in Toronto’s CN Tower was an experience in itself. It’s also my first time eating in a rotating restaurant with a spectacular view of the city. You can request for the vegetarian menu, which is prixe fixe that includes an appetizer, main, and dessert.

I had wild mushroom bruschetta for appetizer. It was sooo delicious! The bruschetta were layered with spiced olive pate, topped with thin slices of pecorino cheese, and decorated with rocket leaves.

Main: Strozzapreti with foraged wild mushrooms and smoked eggplant caviar topped with more shaved pecorino cheese. Very interesting pasta with minimal sauce, I felt healthy eating it.

Dessert: Warm cranberry pecan tart with white chocolate cranberry ice cream. In my belly within minutes.

As Thomas is also vegetarian, he ordered the red beet borsch topped with beet chips and creme fraiche. It looks posh.

He had a huge plate of seasonal vegetables an assortment of grilled colored peppers, zuchinni, oyster mushrooms, and cherry tomatoes with baked potato and sour cream on the side.

This dessert looked amazing! I wanted to devour it – the Ontario mixed berry tart with a scoop of strawberry gelato and a slice of white chocolate and cream. NOM! But not mine…

Maple blancmange with water buffalo yoghurt topped with stewed rhubarb and pistachio white chocolate bark. Very fancy name from the menu but presentation was quite underwhelming.

How could anyone resist this Lindt dark chocolate lava cake? Topped with expresso creme and Lindt milk chocolate ice cream.
