Met a lovely lady Thu at Ocean Inn hostel and we decided to check out Be Love vegetarian restaurant along Blanshard street in Victoria, BC, Canada.
This is how Be Love, an organic restaurant that aims to nourish and heal the body, mind, and soul looks from the entrance.
My dinner companion for the evening. It looked sunny but it was already 8pm in Victoria due to the long summer nights.
Our summer menu – simple and classy.
Zapatista Bowl: This is the bomb! It contains refried black beans, chunky fresh avocado, fresh spinach, giant sprouts, sunflower and toasted pumpkin seeds, fresh corn salsa and cashew sour cream with steamed brown rice at the bottom.
Another raw dish – the summer spaghetti made with spiralled zucchini and brown rice spaghetti in tomato cream sauce that contains spinach, roasted heirloom tomatoes, brazil nut, parmesan, basil, and fresh arugula with buckwheat toast. Refreshing and tasty.
Desserts at the counter. I got some raw date balls to take away.
Very artistic paintings inside Be Love. It appears that Cafe Bliss is affiliated to this restaurant. The business card of Be Love says it is pure nourishment and I like its mission – “Here to honor our earth community and one another, we mindfully source our ingredients, fostering change to provide a future of health, love and respect for all”.
I would totally recommend Be Love if you’re in Victoria, BC.
Be Love’s website features its menu by seasons. Address: 1019 Blanshard Street, Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
Opens from 8:00 to 9.30pm every day.
