I’ve read about farm:table from the Lonely Planet Guide and since I was nearby, why not check it out?
farm:table posts its menu on Twitter but it’s also clearly written on a board when you’re physically at the store. It gets busy in the morning, so I made sure I knew what I wanted before queueing to order. Chose the hard boiled egg on brioche with cream cheese and roasted tomatoes. It tasted fabulous because they were generous with the cream cheese, which went really well with the warm, toasted broiche. I also loved that the tomatoes were roasted in an appetizing way, not too watery or dry. This breakfast made my morning.
I ordered a skinny latte but not sure if the lady serving me misheard or couldn’t understand my accent. I ended up with a normal latte after I had to remind someone about it. However, they were quick to follow up and I get to savor and relax a bit before awkwardly asking the people sitting on the same bench as me to get up so I could squeeze through. farm:table is tiny and has one communal table in the store. If you don’t mind having breakfast with strangers, then eat there or try outside.
See the angular grass patches on the left? Yes, you can chill there with your drink and food. I was tempted to eat al-fresco style but was afraid I would spill everything if I did. Overall, it was pleasant and I recommend you try the coffee here if you can. I was attracted to farm:table as the Lonely planet guide said they use seasonal and regional organics here. Tasted fresh when I had it, assume they must be good for my body.
