Tsim Sha Tsui Kowloon is THE place to go for delicious Indian veggie food. I’m featuring Aashirwad, a pure vegetarian restaurant less than 10 minutes walk from the train station this time. Like always, I’ll be brief and let my pictures do the talking.
For starters, make sure you get the Bhaji. My personal favorite – crunchy dough balls filled with cold yoghurt and potato bits sprinkled with plum sauce.

If you’re here for lunch, get the Thali as it offers a wide selection of curries in tiny portions. The North Indian curries are richer and more creamy while South Indian Thali is for those who like their curries spicy.
You cannot go wrong with Dosa. It’s like an Indian-style crepe that you can dip in coconut chutney or Indian pickles.
For curry lovers, Aashirwad has a wide selection like most Indian restaurants but we wanted to be adventurous and had okra curry. Dry if you like it that way, not me.
Would be better if they added more vegetables in this rice dish.
Finally finish your meal with Kufli, a pistachio ice cream like dessert that melts in your mouth.
Aashirwad also offers other Asian cuisines but I’ll say stick to Indian food and you’ll not regret.
